They say resilience is the
key to success. It’s not about how
you’re seen or who you are; it’s about how many times
you get back up when the chips are down. Poom may be
the embodiment of that idea, but nobody truly knows
where he comes from. People admire his cuteness, but
few stop to wonder who the little goober is behind
those large, beady eyes. When we uncover his origins,
it becomes clear how Poom manages to solve his
problems time and time again.
Poom’s story
began in 2011, in a dimly lit lab in Japan. A small
group of rogue scientists, consumed by ambition and
bitterness, sought to create a substance that could
stick to anything and everything. Fueled by
frustration over years of ignored research and denied
funding, their twisted chemistry birthed something
extraordinary: Poom. He was meant to be their secret
weapon in a desperate plan to rob the national bank.
With no support for their life’s work, they saw no
choice but to turn to crime.
But Poom
wasn’t like his creators. Despite his sticky exterior,
he had a heart far softer than they anticipated. He
sympathized with the struggling scientists but also
with the everyday people whose hard-earned money they
planned to steal. Still, Poom had no power to stop
them. Trapped in a cage, he awaited the day of the
heist.

Fate, however, had other plans. The lab
was located near the Fukushima power plant, chosen for
its abundant supply of clean energy. But when disaster
struck and the plant suffered a catastrophic meltdown,
the lab was caught in the fallout. A surge of
radiation ignited the unstable chemicals within,
setting the entire facility ablaze. In panic, the
scientists fled, abandoning their creation. They were
never seen again.
As the flames consumed
the lab,
Poom emerged from the rubble unscathed.

His rubbery skin had not only shielded
him from the fire but also from the radioactive
exposure. Though he felt the sting of betrayal, the
world now lay open before him. Free at last,
Poom was fweeeeeeeeee!
From that moment, Poom wandered the
world, eager to explore and learn. No longer bound by
his creators, the sky was his limit. But wherever he
went, he faced judgment. People recoiled from his
appearance, unable to see past his sticky form. While
innocent children found joy in his presence, most
adults regarded him with fear and disgust. Still, Poom
never lost his resilience. He remained kindhearted,
determined to find his place in a world that
misunderstood him.As the years passed, Poom grew
wiser. He witnessed the daily struggles of people
fighting to survive and thrive. He saw their hopes and
heartbreaks, their optimism and despair. He understood
the pain of being an underdog. Yet instead of growing
bitter, Poom resolved to share his boundless
compassion with those who needed it most.

Then, one day, Poom stumbled upon the world of Web3.
While trading memecoins to fund his travels, he
encountered the degens—the dreamers and risk-takers,
hoping for a moonshot but often left rekt by ruggers
and whales. Poom saw their struggles and their
resilience, and it struck a chord deep within him. He
thought,
Why can’t there be a space where everyone has a
fair chance to make it? Why can’t there be a
community where we all win together?
In that moment, Poom found his purpose. He knew he
had to lead a movement—a revolution of hope and unity.
He called upon others who believed in a fairer system,
inviting them to become Poomers. Together, they would
defy the odds and create a space where the little guys
could finally thrive.
And thus, the birth of $POOM.
A token for the underdogs. A community
built on resilience. A movement led by the stickiest,
most determined goober the world had ever seen.

$POOM was born in turbulent times, when the crypto

community stood strong, weathering the storm and
